Plus (formerly plus.ai) develops automated self-driving trucks to enable safer and more fuel-efficient commercial transport.
Homepage Redesign
Objective:
The goal of the homepage redesign was to introduce PlusDrive - the new automated driving system from Plus, and updated the page with new branded truck images, while also conveying their vision and values in making long-haul trucking safer and better for the environment. The page also needed to keep to the style of the rest of the website.
Challenge:
One of the challenges the client faced was communicating their purpose and value to the audience. They provided me with bullet point copy that only focused on facts and lacked any heart or storytelling about their mission.
Solution:
I posed several questions to the team to get them to think differently about their message - What is your mission? What is special about your product? Why should people care about PlusDrive?
I provided some copy suggestions such as in the “Introducing PlusDrive” section, where I added “Safety is our top priority” and “Customer satisfaction is important to us” to bring a human touch to their brand and connects with their mission.
Brand Guidelines
I developed the brand guidelines for Plus featuring an updated logo, color palette, and typography.
Safety Report
I worked with Plus stakeholders to design a 39 page NHTSA safety report that described their approach to autonomous truck driving technology and future plans. The new branding was incorporated in this design.
Truck Branding
Using the new Plus logo and color palette, I designed the truck wrapping used for all Plus autonomous freight trucks driving across the country.
